The black market exchange rate for the naira, the currency of Nigeria, against the dollar at the beginning of September reached a new low. Both the underground market and the official foreign currency market saw the naira's bad performance. Nigerians became ecstatic in a video as Pastor Enoch Adeboye predicted that the naira will soon surpass the dollar in strength.
Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God, believes that the Naira would strengthen versus the dollar. On Sunday, September 3, 2023, during the church's monthly Thanksgiving ceremony with the subject "Uncommon Miracles," Adeboye made this prognostication.
According to Punch, the respected Clergy assured the congregation that the naira would not only recover but would also surpass the dollar this time.

The congregation shouted "amen" in response to the message.
He said:
"If the lord I serve is still on the throne, those glorious days when the Naira s stronger than the dollar will return. When that happens you will know there is a God of miracles. “Miracle is totally unusual. God can give you a miracle that will be difficult to share."
