Singer Blackface accuses junior colleague Asake of stealing hit song “Joha” from him

In a recent social media post, the Nigerian artist Ahmedu Augustus Obiabo, also known as Blackface, accused his subordinate colleague Asake of theft.

Blackface revealed on his official Twitter account that Asake has stolen his popular song "Joha."

In the post, Blackface criticizes Asake for acting intelligent and urges him to do the right thing since he will not accept an apology this time.

This response from Blackface came after prominent Nigerian music director TG Omori confirmed that Asake's Joha video from YBNL Record, led by Olamide, cost $165k (N115 million).

This is not the first time Blackface has called out Nigerian artists for music theft; he previously called out Wizkid and Burna for allegedly sampling his song "Ginger" without permission.

Blackface tweeted, “You spend $165k dollars to shoot musical video for your artist Una no fit use 100naira call the owner of the song before una remix am Una dey form say una smart I believe E better make una do the right thing because this one I no go sorry for una ! I dey come !.”
