Cristiano Ronaldo, the highest-paid player in the world and a forward for Al Nassr, has sold his 2013 Ballon d'Or.

He sold the award to Idan Ofer, the richest man in Israel.

The plaque raised around £532,000 for the Make-A-Wish organization when it was auctioned off for charity.

According to Marca, Ronaldo commissioned a replica of the trophy to be sold at a charity auction in London. The original trophy is reportedly on display at his museum in Madeira.

Ronaldo has received the award five times over his distinguished career.

In 2013, the then-Real Madrid forward narrowly edged out Lionel Messi and Franck Ribery for one of his five accolades.

In the 2012-2013 season, Ribery won the triple with Bayern Munich.

Ronaldo scored 55 goals for Los Blancos, but they were unable to win a trophy due to Bayern Munich's Champions League triumph and Barcelona's La Liga triumph.

Forbes estimates Ofer's net worth to be £8.1 billion. He made his fortune in mining, shipping, and energy before entering the sports industry.
