Prince Ned Nwoko, the People's Democratic Party (PDP) senatorial candidate for Delta North, announced at the weekend that if elected, he would provide an empowerment package of N50 million to one million youngsters annually.
Nwoko told nearly 10,000 young people at the inaugural Delta North Youth Assembly that the funds would be distributed in three installments to those who match the standards.
He stated that the prospective recipients must provide proof of two years of business ownership, and their registered enterprises must each be able to support at least five employees.
If he wins the election, he claims that the exclusive empowerment package will be a part of his platform for Delta North (Anioma Nation).
As a youth ambassador, Prince Nwoko stated that the document for the creation of the Youth Agency to administer the program was already completed. He also mentioned how important he felt about youth-related issues.

“We will employ one million youths every year. The criteria are that you must show that you have been an entrepreneur for only two years. The second condition is that you should be able to employ at least five youths.
“Each youth is going to get N50 million as empowerment package. It is real, this money will be given to those youths who qualify. You must have account and your business must be registered,” he said.
He advised the youths to vote for the presidential candidate of PDP, Atiku Abubakar, and his running mate, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta state and all other candidates of the party in the general elections.
