Rapper Chinko Ekun recounts sad experience with fraudsters

Formerly linked with Olamide Badoo's record label Yahoo Boy No Laptop (YBNL), the rapper has recently made headlines for a series of depressing incidents, including being homeless and having no money.
Oladipo Emmanuel, often known as Chinko Ekun, a rapper, has described how investment fraudsters caused him to lose millions of Nigerian naira to fraudulent investment offers.
In an exclusive interview with Midweek Entertainment, the singer of the famous song Able God disclosed that the unfortunate event impacted his investment philosophy.
"I once fell for an investment scam worth millions of naira, after that, I decided my only investment was myself and how I looked. So, I saved more but something happened and I had to pull out my money to save a life and I have no regrets because as I speak, the person is still alive and I’m glad I did.”
The former Y.B.N.L signee acknowledged he wished he had collaborated with them more before his life took a turn for the worst and stated that he intended to transform lives via music.
“I would have collaborated more or stayed more consistent but my entire mind was to go for shows to help the label recoup all the money that was spent on me.
“A lot was spent on me and I am forever grateful. I plan to break records, revive rap music and touch the lives I can. I own my label now.”
Recently, Chinko Ekun said in an Instagram video posted by the pastor of Harvesters International Christian Center, Bolaji Idowu, that he was homeless and penniless after leaving the record label that signed him.
