Chris Ngige, the Minister of Labor and Employment, walked out of a meeting between government officials and the leaders of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) on Saturday, which caused a lot of people to react.

In the movie, some members of the House of Leaders and some government officials talk with ASUU members led by their president, Emmanuel Osodeke, about their ideas.

At one point, the conversation between Ngige and Osodeke grew heated. Ngige said that Osodeke had said that Muhammadu Buhari's APC government had failed tertiary institutions and that the ruling party should be removed from power.

As Osodeke argued against Ngige's claims, the minister stood up and left the meeting early. Some people on social media have said that he "assaulted" Osodeke as he left.Ngige allegedly punched the ASUU president as he stormed out of a meeting.

Did you observe Minister Ngige beating the ASUU President physically? As if it were not absurd enough that he left the meeting, he walked out. So revolting to observe! " On Sunday, communications strategist Yemie Fash tweeted.

The FIJ reviewed the exchange and certified its accuracy.

Ngige exited the meeting indignantly. As Osodeke walked up to the open door, Ngige spoke to him in the least friendly way possible and tapped him three times on the back. Three times, Ngige tapped Osodeke on the back with an open palm.

While Osodeke appeared to oppose Ngige's touch instantly, it was clear neither intended violence.

The allegation that Ngige physically assaulted Osodeke during the dialogue is incorrect and deceptive.
