In the Philippines, images of students wearing "anti-cheating headgear" during college examinations have gone viral on social media.
Students of engineering from Albay, Bicol, in the Philippines are trending online after being required to wear headgear that prevents them from peeping at other students' papers during exams.
The students did an excellent job and devised inventive ways to don their "anti-cheating" hats by constructing homemade contraptions from cardboard, egg cartons, and other recycled items.
Professor of mechanical engineering at Bicol University College of Engineering Mary Joy Mandane-Ortiz described the concept as "very successful."
Prof. Mandane-Ortiz stated that her initial request to students was to create a "basic" paper design.
Prof. Mandane-Ortiz stated that her engineering students took the idea and ran with it, inventing intricate headgear in "only five minutes" with any garbage they could find.
Others wore caps, helmets, or Halloween masks to meet the requirements.
According to the professor, all students completed their exams early this year, and no one was detected cheating.
