Mnet, which makes the show, said that Nigerians and South Africans over the age of 21 will be able to join in 2023.

Auditions

Auditions for Big Brother Titans will take place between October 6 and October 22.

According to the organizers, interested and qualified individuals must film a two-minute video explaining why Big Brother should select them as contestants.

The film will be uploaded to the Mnet website while potential contestants complete the online registration form.

The people who want to take part must be from Nigeria or South Africa and have a valid form of ID.

Dramatic eruptiveness

John Ugbe, the chief executive officer of MultiChoice Nigeria, stated that Big Brother Titans promises an eruption of intrigue and drama.

He stated that a combination of BBNaija and BBMzansi would have an intriguing twist.

He said, "The Titan housemates in a single house will bring to life the long history of rich culture and talent that both nations share."

I can only imagine the ensuing explosion of drama and intrigue. So, imagine 'Afrobeats' colliding with 'Amapiano'; imagine the food and everything else that will be on display; we believe this would be extremely interesting."

He also said that more information about the new show would be shared when it was time.

Background

2014 marked the ninth and last season of Big Brother Africa, also known as Big Brother Africa: Hotshots.

Initially, the show was postponed because the Big Brother house in Johannesburg burned down.

On October 5, 2014, producers selected and renovated a nearby property for the season and debuted a shortened 63-day season.

The show had 26 housemates competing for a $300,000 grand prize.
