I used to attend parties uninvited —Ayra Starr
I had not been invited. A sense of everything occurring at once permeates the noise and excitement. It appears like everyone is aware of the difficulty of the situation and is making an effort to help. The performer also claimed that she had always known that music would alter the course of her life. She reflected on how music had always played a significant role in her life, even from a young age, and how that role would evolve.
I always understood from a young age that music would be my career. It was unclear to me when or how it would occur, but I was confident that it would. I remember arguing with the church choir when I was just six or seven years old because they wouldn't let me be the lead vocalist. When I was younger, I would always tell them, "Don't worry, when I'm famous, you won't be able to say anything to me."
Starr, who just won the "Viewer's Choice Awards" at The Headies, said, "The things that have kept me going are God, my family, and my friends." Along the way with my label, I've also met some truly incredible folks (Mavin Records). They are more than coworkers to me; they are my family.
