FG Vs ASUU: Court Adjourns Case To September 19

The Federal Government's lawsuit against the strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) will now be heard on Monday, September 19, when the Federal Government's interlocutory plea will be heard.

On Friday, when court was back in session, attorney James Igwe for the federal government argued for a speedy hearing of the action so that students could get back to class.

Igwe argued that the strike should be suspended while the case was being heard because it was no longer necessary.
